MIDDLE SCHOOL: From your observation of the Chilka lake and its surroundings explain few main reasons that attracts the migratory birds to the Chilka lake, Name few migratory and aquatic birds that you saw at the lake and what measures you think can be taken to restore this ecosystem ?
HIGH SCHOOL: Konark temple is widely known not only for its architectural grandeur but also for its intricacy and profusion of sculptural work, support this statement from your experience at the Konark temple.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
CHILIKA LAKE: Chilika Lake is an important habitat and breeding ground for both resident and migratory and aquatic birds, most notably flamingos. It is the largest wintering ground for migratory birds in the Indian subcontinent. Trips to these places helps to understand diversity within species, between species as well as variation among eco system.
BORA CAVES: Borra caves are the natural caves, that are said to have originated from the Gosthani river, which flows through these caves. The caves were created due to the flow of river over the limestone area. These Borra caves spreader over the one square km and are formed over the period of millions of years. These caves are a perfect case study for geo –chemistry and the cave is highly valuable for anthropological research.
KONARK TEMPLE: An Architectural Marvel of Eastern India that represents the ancient rich cultural-heritage to the viewers. The temple was dedicated to the sun God Surya. This temple helps to understand traditional style of architecture, it marks the highest point of achievement of Kalinga architecture depicting the grace, the joy and the rhythm of life all its wondrous variety.

DAY 3: BHUBANESHWAR – KONARK – PURI After breakfast visit the LORD JAGANNATH TEMPLE - built in 15th century ad and crowned with Vishnu’s wheel & flag dominate the landscape at PURI. Morning Snacks will be provided. Later visit the famous SUN TEMPLE at KONARK After Lunch enjoy CHILKA LAKE. DAY 4: BHUBANESHWAR – VISAKHAPATNAM After breakfast checkout and proceed to CHAUSATHI JOGINI TEMPLE Later transfer to BHUBANESHWAR RAILWAY STATION. Morning Snacks & Lunch will be provided and board the train to VISAKHAPATNAM. Evening Snacks will be provided Dinner will be provided onboard. Arrival at VISAKHAPATNAM RAILWAY STATION and Check-in at hotel and night halt |
