Aymanam, described in beautiful detail in  Arundhati Roy’s Booker Prize-winning novel The God of Small Things, lies about 10 km from Kumarakom and about eight km from Kottayam. The quixotic beauty of the place as described in the novel is not merely the product of a highly imaginative mind.
