INTRODUCTION TO THE PROGRAM: This one-day heritage exploration program is designed to immerse students in the awe-inspiring world of Karnataka’s architectural and cultural legacy. The journey brings to life the stories, art, devotion, and brilliance of the Hoysala Empire through experiential visits to Belur, Halebeedu, and Shravanabelagola.

OBJECTIVE: To enhance students' understanding of medieval South Indian architecture and art, to inspire appreciation for Indian history, religious harmony, and ancient engineering. To encourage reflection, storytelling, and observation through structured field learning.

WHY IT MATTERS: History is best learned when lived. Walking through these time-worn temples, students do more than read about kings and dynasties — they witness the poetry in stone, the science behind architecture, and the philosophy etched in sculpture. This program helps in connecting classroom learning with real-world experience.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME: Students will explore Karnataka’s rich heritage through three iconic sites: the intricately carved Chennakeshava Temple at Belur, the majestic Hoysaleshwara Temple at Halebeedu, and the awe-inspiring Gommateshwara Statue at Shravanabelagola, a revered symbol of Jain spirituality and tradition.

LEARNING TAKEAWAY: Students return with:

• Identify and understand key architectural elements of Hoysala temples.

04:45 AM – Reporting at School: Students assemble with excitement, ready to begin their historical journey. They board the private coach, eager for the day ahead.

05:00 AM – Departure from School: The journey begins as students set off towards a day of exploration and learning.

07:00 AM – Breakfast En Route: A nutritious breakfast is served to energize students for the day’s activities.

09:30 AM – Visit Shravanabelagola: Explore this sacred Jain pilgrimage site and witness the magnificent monolithic statue while learning about Jain heritage and inscriptions.

11:00 AM – Snacks & juice: A quick refreshment stops to relax and recharge.

12:00 PM – Buffet Lunch: Enjoy a wholesome lunch and take time to unwind before the next visit.

01:45 PM – Visit Hoysaleswara Temple, Halebidu: Discover the intricate Hoysala architecture, detailed carvings from epics, and ancient water management systems.

03:00 PM – Optional Visit (Choose One):
• Chennakeshava Temple, Belur: Engage in art and sculpture exploration.
• Yagachi Dam: Enjoy optional water-based activities (at own expense).

05:00 PM – Departure for School: Begin the return journey with group reflections and discussions.

05:30 PM – Snacks and Juice En Route: A final refreshment break to relax during the journey.

09:30 PM – Arrival at School: Students return with enriched knowledge, creative insights, and memorable experiences from the day.

STEP 2: After availability is confirmed and approved by the school, a payment circular will be forwarded Along with the track my tour details.

STEP 3: Once the list of registered students is finalized will be sharing a revised final itinerary for the programmes.

STEP 4: Sharing required documents for the programme & collecting from the school tour coordinator {in school letter head}.

To ensure a secure and informative experience for the parents, we offer "Track My Tour" facility, which allows the parents to view photos, videos and live bus tracking of the children during the trip.

NB: Please note that we will only take group photographs, which will be verified by our backend team before uploading and could be viewed only by school & parents by using a secure code. A copy of the group photographs will also be shared with the school as a memento.
