Introduction to the Program

This programme takes students beyond the classroom into the lush landscapes of Wayanad and the coastal charm of Kozhikode. Designed for Grades 8–12, the itinerary combines ecological exploration, cultural immersion, and sustainable development learning. Students engage with prehistoric sites, river systems, waterfalls, and artisan communities—experiencing science, history, and geography in action.

10:30 AM: TREKKING @ THUSHARAGIRI & Visit THUSHARAGIRI WATERFALLS

  • Learning Focus: Study riverine ecosystems, waterfall formation, and biodiversity in moist deciduous forests.
  • Activity: “Waterfall Wonders” Biodiversity Map – Students document flora/fauna spotted, note erosion signs, and analyse forest health.
  • What to Carry: Trekking shoes, cap, notebook, water bottle, towel, extra clothes, sunscreen.

02:00 PM: Enjoy KOZHIKODE BEACH

  • Learning Focus: Geography of coastal regions, human impact on marine ecosystems, and the importance of sustainability in protecting our environment.
  • Activity: "Eco-Warrior Beach Cleanup & Sustainability Circle"- Students participate in a guided beach cleanup drive, collecting litter while learning about ocean pollution and the role of individual action. o Followed by a Sorting & Recycling Demonstration, where students categorize collected waste and understand the basics of recycling. o End with a short "Sustainability Circle" discussion, where students share ecofriendly habits, they can adopt in daily life. Each student receives an Eco-Warrior certificate for their participation.

  • Activity: “Water Power Investigation”-Conduct a field-based inquiry into how the dam operates. Interview a guide or use available signage to gather data on the source and capacity of the reservoir and how the dam generates hydroelectric power

  • Activity: “Dam Design Thinking” Journal – Students sketch the dam, identify water pathways, and reflect on development vs. displacement.

NB: Please note that we will only take group photographs, which will be verified by our backend team before uploading and could be viewed only by school & parents by using a secure code. A copy of the group photographs will also be shared with the school as a memento.

CHECK IN/OUT POLICY: 

Standard check in and checkout time of most of the hotels are 12:00 noon. Early check in and late checkout will be subject to availability. We will try to give as many rooms as possible for early check in or late checkout but we don’t promise to give all the rooms for the same. For guaranteed early check in or late checkout, the hotel(s) should be booked at the time of package booking by paying additional amount charged by the hotel.
