EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING PROGRAMME

INTRODUCTION TO THE PROGRAM: This factory visit offers a real-world exposure to students on how popular FMCG products—noodles and pasta—are manufactured. It includes an educational tour of ITC’s state-of-the-art ICML (Integrated Consumer Goods Manufacturing and Logistics) unit.

OBJECTIVE: To provide students with hands-on learning of food technology, supply chain management, quality control, and packaging processes used in the food manufacturing industry.

WHY IT MATTERS: Bridges theoretical science and real-world industrial application. Enhances interest in STEM subjects, builds awareness on food safety, hygiene, and sustainability in production helps understand career opportunities in food technology and industrial engineering.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME: The program includes a guided factory tour, a quiz for knowledge reinforcement, team-based reflection activities, and a fun engagement with light refreshments before returning to school.

DETAILED PROGRAM ITINERARY:

09:00 AM – Departure from School

10:45 AM – Arrival at ITC ICML Noodles and Pasta Factory

11:00 AM – Factory Tour Begins — Production process explained by industry resource person

• Learning Focus- Process understanding, observation, sequencing skills.
• Activity: Students sketch the production line in sequence (raw materials to packaging).
• What to Carry: A4 sheet, crayons/pencils.

01:00 PM – Quiz Competition – Based on learning from the tour, with prizes for winners: Engaging quiz competition based on the factory tour learning’s, encouraging recall and rewarding curious minds with exciting prizes.

01:30 PM – Snacks: Delicious snacks served to all students, providing a refreshing break and adding joy to the learning experience.

01:40 PM – Departure to School: After a fun-filled and educational day, students head back to school.

02:30 PM – Arrival at School: Heading back with happy hearts, enriched minds, and unforgettable experiences to share with family and friends.

LEARNING OUTCOMES: By the end of this program, students will be able to:

• Trace the life cycle of a packaged food item from sourcing to dispatch
• Understand basic concepts of manufacturing, automation, and food safety

• Grade Eligibility: 5th to 12th

Step 1: Submit booking request letter 3 months prior to preferred date
Step 2: Finalize program and send a formal request on school letterhead (format will be shared)
Step 3: Upon industry approval, finalize the date and program with confirmation

STEP 2: After availability is confirmed and approved by the school, a payment circular will be forwarded Along with the track my tour details.

STEP 3: Once the list of registered students is finalized will be sharing a revised final itinerary for the programmes.

STEP 4: Sharing required documents for the programme & collecting from the school tour coordinator {in school letter head}.

To ensure a secure and informative experience for the parents, we offer "Track My Tour" facility, which allows the parents to view photos, videos and live bus tracking of their children during the trip.

NB: Please note that we will only take group photographs, which will be verified by our backend team before uploading and could be viewed only by school & parents by using a secure code. A copy of the group photographs will also be shared with the school as a memento.
