This educational journey from Bangalore to Kovalam, Ponmudi Hills, and Trivandrum introduces young learners to nature, culture, and adventure through engaging, age-appropriate experiences. From exploring sandy beaches and sacred temples to trekking forest trails and cruising serene backwaters, students connect classroom concepts to real-world wonders. INTRODUCTION TO THE PROGRAM

This 5-day experiential learning tour from Bangalore to Trivandrum, Kovalam, Ponmudi Hills, and Poovar Backwaters is designed to immerse students in the interconnected worlds of geography, ecology, sustainability, culture, and heritage. Through hands-on field activities, nature treks, cultural explorations, and guided reflections, students build awareness and empathy toward the planet, people, and themselves.

To enrich students’ academic understanding with real-world connections across environmental science, geography, cultural studies, and sustainable living through curated outdoor experiences and team-based learning.

DAY 2: TRIVANDRUM - KOVALAM

  • Learning Focus: Geography of coastal regions, human impact on marine ecosystems, and the importance of sustainability in protecting our environment.
  • Activity: "Eco-Warrior Beach Cleanup & Sustainability Circle"- Students participate in a guided beach cleanup drive, collecting litter while learning about ocean pollution and the role of individual action. o Followed by a Sorting & Recycling Demonstration, where students categorize collected waste and understand the basics of recycling. o End with a short "Sustainability Circle" discussion, where students share ecofriendly habits, they can adopt in daily life. Each student receives an Eco-Warrior certificate for their participation.
  • What to Carry: Notebook, pencil/pen.

3:30 PM: Snacks & Juice

5:00 PM: Spiritual Journey at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple

  • Learning Focus: Appreciate art, architecture, and calmness in sacred spaces.
  • Activity: “Temple Time Reflection” – Students draw temple details and write what they noticed or felt inside.
  • What to Carry: Modest dress, notebook, pencil, socks (temples may require footwear to be removed).

7:30 PM: Buffet Dinner Followed by debriefing & briefing for the next day

DAY 3: KOVALAM/ PONUMUDI HILLS

10:00 AM: En route forest trek to Kallar Meenmutty Waterfalls

  • Learning Focus: Explore the magic of forests—learn about trees, bugs, water, and forest sounds.
  • Activity: “Jungle Detectives” – Use a mini checklist to find leaves, sounds, insects, animal tracks, and flowing water.
  • What to Carry: Trekking shoes, cap, light raincoat, insect repellent, water bottle, mini bag, observation sheet, pencil.

  • Learning Focus: Discover hills, winding roads, and nature views – observe how temperature and air feel different.
  • Activity: “Hilltop Journal” – Draw what they see from above, note how the air feels, and write a simple sentence on what they loved most.
  • What to Carry: Jacket, cap, notebook, pencil, water bottle, camera (optional).

DAY 4: TRIVANDRUM – BANGALORE

  • Learning Focus: Understand life on water—see boats, fish, plants that grow on water, and birds that live nearby.
  • Activity: “Backwater Watchers” – Use simple observation charts to note birds, boats, and water plants.
  • What to Carry: Cap, binoculars (optional), water bottle, notebook, pencil.

01:00 PM: Transfer to Trivandrum Airport En route Visit Napier Museum

  • Learning Focus: See ancient tools, clothes, and stories told through statues and paintings.
  • Activity: “Museum Time Sketchbook” – Students pick one item to draw and write one line about it.
  • What to Carry: Notebook, pencil, museum etiquette (no flash, quiet voices).

Step 1: Once you finalize the itinerary and travel dates of your choice, please contact our executive to confirm availability.

Step 2: After availability is confirmed and approved by the school, a payment circular will be forwarded. Optional facility an online presentation will be conducted for parents.

Step 3: Once the list of registered students is finalized, Crazy Holidays will schedule the pre-departure meeting with the school.

Step 4: During the pre-departure meeting, complete awareness about the tour will be provided to both students and parents, including project specifications, what to carry and details about the “Track My Tour” feature.

To ensure a secure and informative experience for parents, we are offering the "Track My Tour" facility, which allows parents to view photos, videos, and live bus tracking of your children during the trip.

NB: Please note that we will only take group photographs, which will be verified by our backend team before uploading and could be viewed only by school & parents by using a secure code. A copy of the group photographs will also be shared with the school as a memento.

THE TOUR COST INCLUDES: The above package is inclusive of Transport Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and  Dinner, Guide Charges, Sightseeing, State Taxes, General Entrance Fee as per the Programme, Stay at hotels on sharing basis, Use of Resort Facilities and Service of Our Tour Managers.

THE TOUR COST DOES NOT INCLUDE:  The above package doesn`t include Any expense of personal nature (like professional still camera or video camera, porter charges, laundry expenses, phone calls, water sports, food and beverage not included in the package, usages of mini bar in the hotel), Sightseeing or Activities and Other Facilities not mentioned in “INCLUSIONS”.

1. As this is NOT THE FINAL ITINERARY at the time of confirmation, kindly ask the marketing executive to check the availability of all the services as specified in this itinerary i.e., (TRAIN/FLIGHT/COACHES/HOTELS/ENTRY TO MONUMENTS, FARMS, RESORTS ETC) based on the period of travel and to submit the FINAL ITINERARY.

2. As the availability and pricing keeps on changing for flights/train dynamically we request your good self to make sure to collect the full amount of train fare and 25% of the airfare within 24 hours as soon as a trip is confirmed from the students which is nonrefundable and handover the same amount to Crazy Holidays marketing executive so that we can go ahead with the booking of flight/train on immediate hours.

CHECK IN/OUT POLICY: 

Standard check in and checkout time of most of the hotels are 12:00 noon. Early check in and late checkout will be subject to availability. We will try to give as many rooms as possible for early check in or late checkout but we don’t promise to give all the rooms for the same. For guaranteed early check in or late checkout, the hotel(s) should be booked at the time of package booking by paying additional amount charged by the hotel.
