“Art That Tells Who We Are” is an inspiring half-day experience where children discover how artists express identity and values through visual stories. As students explore galleries, observe traditional art, and create value-based artworks, they learn how choices in colour, form, and symbol reflect deeper beliefs. The tour builds visual thinking, reflection, and cultural awareness in an artistic environment.
Children strengthen Thinking, Social, Communication, Self-Management, and Research skills as they interpret artworks, observe details, discuss values, make personal choices, reflect on identity, collaborate in groups, practise gallery behaviour, and connect visual stories with real-life beliefs and decisions.
Children understand how art represents identity, beliefs, and values, explore how artists make choices, recognise cultural expressions, reflect on their own values, and practise making thoughtful decisions through visual inquiry and guided discussion.
Children identify elements of identity in artworks, recognise at least three values shown visually, explain one decision based on a value, show respect in a gallery setting, express values in their own artwork, and communicate personal interpretations confidently.
