“The Culture Inside Me” is a vibrant day of cultural discovery that helps 7–8-year-olds understand how identity, beliefs, and values shape who we are. Through heritage walks, folk art workshops, stories, and value-based challenges, students uncover how culture influences choices and relationships. The tour sparks pride, curiosity, and respect for diverse traditions in an interactive setting.
Children strengthen Thinking, Social, Communication, Self-Management, and Research skills as they explore cultural artefacts, discuss beliefs, interpret stories, reflect on values, collaborate in group tasks, respect heritage spaces, and make thoughtful decisions based on personal and community values.
Children understand how identity is built through culture, beliefs, and values; explore how traditions influence behaviour; develop respect for diversity; practise decision-making based on values; and learn to express identity confidently through art, stories, and shared experiences.
Children identify parts of their cultural identity, recognise at least three values shown in traditions, make thoughtful choices based on values, respect cultural differences, express their identity through creative tasks, and collaborate effectively in community-based experiences.
