Program Overview

“Little Historians” transforms the Model Village into a living heritage trail where children step into traditional homes, explore village tools, experience tonga travel, play generational games, observe cultural objects, and collect ‘story clues’ that reveal how people lived, worked, and shared traditions across time.”


ATL Skills

Children strengthen Observation, Thinking, Communication, Social Skills, and Self-Management through exploring village structures, listening to cultural stories, identifying tools, comparing past and present life, cooperating in games, travelling safely on the tonga ride, and reflecting on their discoveries.


Learning Objectives

Children explore features of village life, identify cultural tools and objects, understand simple traditions, recognise how people lived differently across time, compare village and city settings, and express their understanding through drawings, conversation, and role-play.


Learning Outcomes

Children identify parts of a traditional home, recognise tools and their uses, participate in village games, observe tonga transport safely, recognise cultural sounds, complete a story-based mission card, earn the Village Explorer badge, and describe how daily life expressed culture in the past.
