Program Overview

“Little Story Seekers” transforms Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath into an enchanting world of visual storytelling. Children follow colour clues in paintings, decode emotions in leather puppets, and explore playful shadows in the courtyard. Through observation, imagination, and guided art tasks, they uncover how people express stories, emotions, and cultural identity through art.

ATL Skills

Students strengthen Observation, Creative Thinking, Communication, Social Skills, and Self-Management as they identify artistic details, interpret puppet expressions, explore shadow patterns, freeze like characters, sketch clues, collaborate in small groups, and follow respectful gallery behaviour.

Learning Objectives

Children learn how stories are communicated visually, recognise expressive elements in art, observe changes in light and shadow, interpret characters and symbols, practise gallery etiquette, and communicate their understanding through drawing and performance.

Learning Outcomes

Children identify colour, puppet, and shadow clues; sketch elements from artworks; participate in a puppet performance; create shadow shapes; complete a mini art task; reflect on favourite artworks; and explain how visual artists express stories without using words.
