Program Overview

“Life Then, Life Now” is a structured cultural immersion programme designed for MYP 1 learners to investigate how people lived in the past and how cultural practices, tools, transport, and social structures have changed over time.

Through guided observation, evidence collection, comparison tasks, and reflective discussion, students examine village life as a historical context rather than a play space. Learners analyse housing, tools, occupations, transport systems, games, and traditions, and evaluate how changes in technology and resources have reshaped human life.

The programme develops historical awareness, analytical thinking, and evidence-based reflection, aligning with expectations of MYP 1 inquiry and conceptual understanding.
