Transdisciplinary Theme: How the World Works – Science • Systems • Innovation
MYP Global Context: Scientific & Technical Innovation
Age Group: MYP 4 (14–15 years)
Duration: Full-Day Experiential Learning Tour
Venue: Discovate – Experiential Science, Adventure & Innovation Zone
Learning Approach: Hands-on • Inquiry-Based • Conceptual • Evidence-Driven
"Innovation in Action: Curiosity, Design, and Change" immerses MYP 4 learners in an exciting blend of experiential systems exploration, technological experiences, and applied science challenges. Students interact with innovation-based experiences, observe systems functioning, test their thinking through inquiry, and interpret cause - effect relationships in real time.Students strengthen scientific curiosity, reasoning, observation accuracy, risk awareness, problem-thinking ability, and evidence-based explanation through experiential engagement.
Systems • Innovation • Cause & Effect
Research Skills: observation, guided inquiry, evidence gathering
Critical Thinking: predicting, reasoning, analysing cause–effect, justifying responses
Students will:
understand scientific systems and technological innovation through real-world investigation
explore how systems function and respond to variables
connect innovation, design, and purpose through inquiry
Students will:
identify and explain systems in action
describe cause–effect relationships confidently
justify explanations using observation and evidence
