Program Overview

"History, but made walkable" is a structured cultural immersion programme designed for MYP 5 learners to investigate how people lived in the past and how cultural practices, tools, transport, and social structures have changed over time.

Through guided observation, evidence collection, comparison tasks, and reflective discussion, students examine village life as a historical context rather than a play space. Learners analyse housing, tools, occupations, transport systems, games, and traditions, and evaluate how changes in technology and resource use have reshaped human life.

The programme develops historical awareness, analytical thinking, and evidence-based reflection, aligning with MYP 5 expectations for inquiry and conceptual understanding.


ATL Skills

Students strengthen Research, Thinking, Communication, Social, and Self-Management Skills as they observe artefacts, record evidence, compare past and present lifestyles, participate in structured discussions, follow safety protocols, and reflect on learning using academic language.
