Programme Overview

“Beyond the Map: Discovering Our Place in the Universe” is an inquiry-driven experiential learning programme designed for all PYP students, usingtargazing and astronomy as meaningful contexts to explore identity, values, empathy, and responsible choices.

Through pre-tour curiosity-building activitiesguided telescope-based night-sky observationcollaborative challengeseco-awareness experiences, and structured reflection, students examine how humans explore the universe and how this exploration influences who we are, what we value, and how we act within a community.

The programme supports learners in understanding that curiosity, courage, care, and respect are essential values when encountering the unknown. By working together, reflecting on emotions, making ethical choices during group activities, and engaging in responsibility-driven actions toward nature, students develop self-awareness, empathy, and a sense of global responsibility.

The programme is fully designed and facilitated by Crazy Holidays and its expert resource team, ensuring high-quality experiential delivery with no academic instruction required from school teachers, while remaining strongly aligned to IB PYP philosophy. Learning is structured across Pre-Tour, On-Tour, and Post-Tour engagements, enabling students to connect inquiry with experience and reflection with meaningful action.

ATL Skills
