Venue: Model Village @ Rangoli Gardens
Program Type: Full-Day Interdisciplinary Field Inquiry
Age Group: 10–11 years
Duration: One Full Academic Day
Focus: Historical change, cultural continuity, daily life, transport and community systems
This full-day field inquiry positions the Model Village as a historical case study where students investigate how daily life has changed over time due to shifts in culture, technology and resources.
Learners explore traditional housing, tools, transport systems, games and social structures to understand how communities adapted to their environment in the past. Through structured observation, comparison and reflection, students analyse differences between historical and modern lifestyles.
The inquiry progression follows:
Observation → Comparison → Analysis → Reflection → Perspective
Students collect evidence, compare past and present systems, evaluate advantages and limitations, and construct evidence-based reflections about change over time.
