This Stage 9 field investigation examines how heritage, language, craftsmanship and cultural traditions shape identity across time.
Students engage in structured historical inquiry to:
Analyse continuity and change within Karnataka’s cultural evolution
Interpret artefacts and sites as historical evidence
Evaluate preservation practices and modern adaptation
Assess how cultural identity is maintained, transformed or contested
Inquiry progression:
Historical Contextualisation → Evidence Collection → Interpretation → Comparative Analysis → Evaluative Judgement
The emphasis is on evidence-based historical reasoning, not surface-level appreciation.
