Program Overview

Young Art Investigators transforms the art spaces of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath into an engaging exploration environment where children observe, question and interpret artistic expression.

Through guided investigations in painting galleries, puppet displays and outdoor sculpture spaces, students search for colour clues, interpret puppet expressions and observe how light creates changing shadows. Children participate in small creative response activities, short energisers and collaborative exploration tasks that encourage curiosity and imagination.

The experience supports students in discovering how artists communicate stories, emotions and cultural ideas through visual elements. By sketching details, performing puppet voices, creating shadow shapes and reflecting on their observations, students begin to understand how visual art can express meaning even without spoken language.

This structured museum exploration encourages children to observe carefully, think independently, communicate their ideas and engage respectfully with artworks and shared learning spaces.

Observation skills as they identify colours, shapes and artistic details in paintings and sculptures.
