Proceed to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

When we arrive at the Colombo International Airport where our representatives will be waiting to greet and transfer you to Kandy. While on our way to Kandy, we’ll make a quick stop at the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage which has become one of Sri Lanka’s most popular attractions. Tourists and locals all love meeting the residents here and interact with the 65 captive elephants that were saved from many situations. Some of them were orphaned and abandoned since babies; others were elderly matriarchs who can’t survive in the wild anymore or adults that had suffered from unethical treatments while in captivity.

It is about 90km from Colombo and after you have fun playing with the elephants, we’ll head to Kandy to the hotel. We’ll check-in and let you rest for the night in Kandy.

Proceed to Day Excursion to Sigiriya with Dambulla Caves

After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Sigiriya, home to the iconic Lion Rock, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1982. The rock, once a capital city for King Kasyapa, features a museum with royal paintings. Next, visit the Dambulla Golden Rock Temple, Sri Lanka’s largest and best-preserved cave temple, dating back to the 1st century BC. Admire the colorful frescoes and the largest collection of Buddha statues. In the evening, return to your hotel in Kandy for the night.

Proceed to Dalada Maligawa-The Temple of the Tooth Relic

After breakfast proceed to visit Dalada Maligawa-The Temple of the Tooth Relic in time for the ‘Pooja’. Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a UNESCO world heritage site partly due to the temple. And also witness a typical Sri Lankan Cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing.

Enjoy Colombo City Tour

After breakfast, check out and begin your Colombo City Tour. Start at Fort, the financial district with historic buildings, cafes, and offices. Visit Sea Street, the jewelry hub, and explore the Hindu Temple. See Kayman’s Gate and the Dutch Bell Tower, then visit the Dutch Church of Wolfendhaal, one of Sri Lanka's oldest Protestant churches. Next, head to the revered Kelaniya Buddhist Temple, offering stunning panoramic views. Explore the Dewatagaha Mosque, known for its pristine white architecture, and the BMICH, a landmark convention center with historical significance. Visit the Aukana Buddha Statue and Independence Memorial for a peaceful atmosphere. Finally, enjoy a shopping trip for souvenirs before returning to the hotel.
