A Journey into the Misty Highlands of the Shevaroy Hills

As students gather at the station before dawn, the expedition begins with anticipation, curiosity, and the excitement of discovering life beyond classroom walls.

06:00 AM – Departure from Bangalore City Railway Station by Train
(Approx. 230 km | 4.5 hrs)

Travelling by train offers students an opportunity to observe changing landscapes, settlement patterns, agricultural regions, and the gradual transformation from urban Karnataka to the hill regions of Tamil Nadu.

The journey itself becomes a moving classroom encouraging observation, connection, and reflection.

10:30 AM – Arrival at Salem Railway Station

10:45 AM – Transfer to Yercaud by Private AC Coach
(Approx. 32 km | 1.5 hrs hill drive)

The scenic ascent into the Shevaroy Hills introduces students to the geography of hill ecosystems, mountain climates, and the natural beauty of Tamil Nadu’s lesser-explored highlands.

Nestled amidst mist-covered hills, coffee plantations, and forested valleys, the resort environment offers students a refreshing immersion into the calm rhythm of mountain life and eco-sensitive hospitality.

Students will stay at a carefully selected premium hill resort in Yercaud designed to provide safety, comfort, and an immersive nature-centric experience amidst the serene hill environment.

(Approx. 3 km | 10 mins)

Set amidst natural greenery, Deer Park offers students a close encounter with the gentler side of wildlife conservation and habitat preservation.

The visit encourages learners to reflect on the relationship between humans and animals, the importance of ethical tourism, and the responsibility of protecting natural habitats for future generations.

08:00 PM – Traditional Tamil Nadu Dinner Experience

Students will enjoy an authentic Tamil Nadu-style traditional dinner inspired by the culinary traditions of the Salem–Yercaud region. Prepared using local ingredients, aromatic spices, and time-honoured recipes, the meal introduces students to the connection between geography, agriculture, climate, and cultural identity.

This traditional dining experience transforms food into a cultural learning journey, helping students understand how communities preserve heritage through cuisine, hospitality, and shared traditions.

DAY 02- YERCAUD TO BANGALORE

Discovering Perspectives from the Peaks

As mist drifts across the hills and forests awaken with birdsong, students begin the day with a guided nature walk through Yercaud’s peaceful landscapes.

The experience encourages mindfulness, observation, environmental appreciation, and a deeper connection with the rhythms of nature that often go unnoticed in urban life.

09:00 AM – 11:00 AM – Visit to Pagoda Point

CHECK IN/OUT POLICY: 

Standard check in and checkout time of most of the hotels are 12:00 noon. Early check in and late checkout will be subject to availability. We will try to give as many rooms as possible for early check in or late checkout but we don’t promise to give all the rooms for the same. For guaranteed early check in or late checkout, the hotel(s) should be booked at the time of package booking by paying additional amount charged by the hotel.
