Introduction to the Program

This immersive experiential learning tour is thoughtfully designed to introduce students to the rich cultural, environmental, and historical fabric of Southern India. Through hands-on activities, site visits, and structured reflection, students explore sustainability, harmony, heritage, and innovation.

About the Programme

This 4-day guided educational trip takes students from Bangalore to Pondicherry and Mahabalipuram. The program is thoughtfully curated with activities aligned with Social Science, Environmental Studies, Art, and Science, enriched with reflection, safety, and fun.

  • Activity: “My Dream Town Drawing” – Students draw or describe what their dream peaceful town looks like, inspired by Auroville.                                                                        
  • What to Carry: Sketchbook or notebook, coloured pencils/crayons, water bottle, cap.

  • Learning Focus: Observe the beach environment and learn about marine life, waves, and caring for nature.                                                                                                     
  • Activity: “Beach Explorer Checklist” – Students check off items like shells, crabs, seaweed, and litter; discuss how to keep beaches clean.                                                                    
  • What to Carry: Notebook, cap, sunscreen, water bottle, small bag for waste (if doing a beach cleanup).

  • Learning Focus: Discover how handmade paper is created and understand simple ways to protect nature through reuse and recycling.                                                              
  • Activity: “Paper Trail Discovery” – Students list steps of making paper and suggest ways to reuse paper at school or home.                                                                                           
  • What to Carry: Notebook, pen/pencil, cap, water bottle.

10:30 AM: Visit Pondicherry Museum

  • Learning Focus: Learn about how people lived in olden times through ancient coins, furniture, and tools.                                                                                                                                  
  • Activity: “Time Travel Passport” – Students choose an item from the museum and write or draw what life was like when it was used.                                                                                                             
  • What to Carry: Notebook, pen/pencil, water bottle

  • Activity: “Adventure Moments Map” – Students draw their favourite ride and describe how it made them feel and what they learned.                                                                                                       
  • What to Carry: Change of clothes, towel, cap, sunscreen, notebook, pen/pencil, water bottle

  • Learning Focus: Explore seashells, sand types, and marine animals; observe nature quietly.           
  • Activity: “Beach Treasures Log” – Students collect (non-living) items or make notes/sketches of what they see and describe its purpose.

DAY 3: PONDICHERRY – MAHABALIPURAM – BANGALORE

10.00 AM – Visit Mahabalipuram Sightseeing: Trimurti Cave Temple & Five Rathas

  • Learning Focus: Learn about stories from Indian mythology carved into stone and the kings who built them long ago.                                                                                                 
  • Activity: “Temple Tales Drawing” – Students pick a sculpture or carving and draw it, writing the story they imagine behind it.

11:30 AM: Proceed to Dakshin Chitra

12:30 PM: Visit Dakshin Chitra

  • Learning Focus: Discover how people from different parts of South India live, what their houses look like, and the clothes and crafts they use.                                                                                                      
  • Activity: “Cultural Passport” – Students collect stamps or stickers for each state visited in Dakshin Chitra and list one thing they liked about it.                                                                           
  • What to Carry: Notebook, pen/pencil, water bottle.

The students arrive back at school in the early hours of the morning, tired but exhilarated from their enchanting journey, ready to share their experiences with family and friends.

Step 2: After availability is confirmed and approved by the school, a payment circular will be forwarded Along with the track my tour details.

Step 3: Once the list of registered students is finalized will be sharing a revised final itinerary for the programmes.

Step 4: Sharing required documents for the programme & collecting from the school tour coordinator {in school letter head}.

To ensure a secure and informative experience for parents, we are offering the "Track My Tour" facility, which allows parents to view photos, videos, and live bus tracking of your children during the trip.

NB: Please note that we will only take group photographs, which will be verified by our backend team before uploading and could be viewed only by school & parents by using a secure code. A copy of the group photographs will also be shared with the school as a memento.

THE TOUR COST INCLUDES: The above package is inclusive of Transport Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and  Dinner, Guide Charges, Sightseeing, State Taxes, General Entrance Fee as per the Programme, Stay at hotels on sharing basis, Use of Resort Facilities and Service of Our Tour Managers.

THE TOUR COST DOES NOT INCLUDE:  The above package doesn`t include Any expense of personal nature (like professional still camera or video camera, porter charges, laundry expenses, phone calls, water sports, food and beverage not included in the package, usages of mini bar in the hotel), Sightseeing or Activities and Other Facilities not mentioned in “INCLUSIONS”.

1. As this is NOT THE FINAL ITINERARY at the time of confirmation, kindly ask the marketing executive to check the availability of all the services as specified in this itinerary i.e., (TRAIN/FLIGHT/COACHES/HOTELS/ENTRY TO MONUMENTS, FARMS, RESORTS ETC) based on the period of travel and to submit the FINAL ITINERARY.

2. As the availability and pricing keeps on changing for flights/train dynamically we request your good self to make sure to collect the full amount of train fare and 25% of the airfare within 24 hours as soon as a trip is confirmed from the students which is nonrefundable and handover the same amount to Crazy Holidays marketing executive so that we can go ahead with the booking of flight/train on immediate hours.

CHECK IN/OUT POLICY: 

Standard check in and checkout time of most of the hotels are 12:00 noon. Early check in and late checkout will be subject to availability. We will try to give as many rooms as possible for early check in or late checkout but we don’t promise to give all the rooms for the same. For guaranteed early check in or late checkout, the hotel(s) should be booked at the time of package booking by paying additional amount charged by the hotel.
