INTRODUCTION TO THE PROGRAM: This one-day experiential learning tour is thoughtfully designed to integrate history, environmental science, and technological evolution. Set in and around Srirangapatna—an island town steeped in the legacy of Tipu Sultan—students will explore significant historical monuments, vibrant bird ecosystems, and an extensive automobile museum. The program blends academic learning with real-world exposure, creating a meaningful connection between classroom concepts and lived experiences.

OBJECTIVE: This program offers experiential learning of India’s colonial and pre-colonial history through heritage sites, builds environmental awareness via wetland ecosystems and bird conservation, and introduces students to technological evolution in automobile engineering, while fostering teamwork, observation, and critical thinking through engaging, structured activities beyond the classroom.

Students will explore the stunning Chennakeshava Temple at Somanathapura, a Hoysala architectural gem; the enigmatic town of Talakadu, known for its sand-buried temples and legends; and Shivanasamudra Falls, home to Asia’s first hydroelectric power station and scenic beauty.

05:30 AM – Departure from School: Students assemble early morning and begin their journey with excitement and curiosity.

07:00 AM – Breakfast En Route: A nutritious breakfast is served to energize students for the day ahead.

09:00 AM – Arrival at Srirangapatna & Visit to Tipu Sultan’s Gumbaz: Students explore the mausoleum of Tipu Sultan, gaining insights into Indo-Islamic architecture and historical narratives.

10:00 AM – Visit to Summer Palace (Daria Daulat Bagh): A guided walk through Tipu Sultan’s summer palace, featuring intricate murals and historical storytelling sessions.

10:45 AM – Snacks and Juice: A quick refreshment break with light snacks and juice, helping students recharge and stay energized for the next set of activities.

11:00 AM – Departure to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary

11:30 AM – Visit to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary: Students engage in bird watching and ecosystem study, observing migratory birds and wetland biodiversity.

01:00 PM – Lunch: Lunch amidst nature, encouraging relaxation and peer interaction.

01:45 PM – Reflection & Nature Activity: Guided group discussion on biodiversity, conservation, and ecosystem balance.

NB: Please note that we will only take group photographs, which will be verified by our backend team before uploading and could be viewed only by school & parents by using a secure code. A copy of the group photographs will also be shared with the school as a memento.
