EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING PROGRAMME

INTRODUCTION TO THE PROGRAM: This one-day experiential learning program invites students to explore the architectural brilliance and cultural richness of Karnataka through the magnificent Hoysala temples of Belur and Halebidu. Blending history with recreation, the program also includes a refreshing visit to Yagachi Dam, offering a balanced experience of heritage learning and outdoor engagement.

OBJECTIVE: To deepen students’ understanding of Hoysala architecture and medieval South Indian history, while encouraging appreciation for art, culture, and heritage conservation. The program also promotes teamwork, reflection, and recreational engagement through structured activities.

WHY IT MATTERS: Experiencing history firsthand helps students connect deeply with the past. By observing intricate carvings, understanding temple architecture, and engaging in guided exploration, students move beyond textbooks into immersive learning. The addition of outdoor recreation enhances overall engagement and well-being.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME: Students will explore two iconic heritage sites—Belur and Halebidu—known for their exquisite stone carvings and architectural mastery. The journey concludes with a visit to Yagachi Dam, where students can relax and optionally participate in water-based activities.

05:00 AM – Departure from School: The journey begins towards a day of heritage exploration and fun.

07:30 AM – Breakfast En Route: A nutritious breakfast to energize students for the day ahead.

10:30 AM – Visit Chennakeshava Temple, Belur: Explore the architectural masterpiece known for its intricate sculptures and detailed carvings depicting epics, dance, and daily life.

12:30 PM – Buffet Lunch: Enjoy a wholesome meal and short relaxation break.

01:45 PM – Visit Hoysaleswara Temple, Halebidu: Discover the intricate Hoysala architecture, detailed carvings from epics, and ancient water management systems.

01:30 PM – Visit Hoysaleswara Temple, Halebidu: Discover the grandeur of this twin temple complex with detailed carvings from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, along with insights into ancient engineering and water systems.

03:30 PM – Visit Yagachi Dam: Unwind amidst scenic surroundings. Students may opt for water sports activities (at own expense) under supervision.

04:45 PM – Departure for School: Begin return journey with group discussions and reflections.

05:30 PM – Snacks & Juice En Route: Refreshment break during the journey.

08:30 PM - Arrival at School: Students return with enriched knowledge and memorable experiences.

STEP 2: After availability is confirmed and approved by the school, a payment circular will be forwarded Along with the track my tour details.

STEP 3: Once the list of registered students is finalized will be sharing a revised final itinerary for the programmes.

STEP 4: Sharing required documents for the programme & collecting from the school tour coordinator {in school letter head}.

To ensure a secure and informative experience for the parents, we offer "Track My Tour" facility, which allows the parents to view photos, videos and live bus tracking of the children during the trip.

NB: Please note that we will only take group photographs, which will be verified by our backend team before uploading and could be viewed only by school & parents by using a secure code. A copy of the group photographs will also be shared with the school as a memento.
