This three-day experiential journey connects science, nature, culture and heritage across Udupi, Malpe, Mangalore and Halebidu. From exploring human anatomy and coastal ecosystems to discovering traditional communities and Hoysala architecture, students experience Karnataka as a living classroom—developing deeper connections between people, place, knowledge and heritage.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
OUR LEARNING FRAMEWORK
At Crazy Holidays, we believe learning happens best when students experience, reflect, and apply.
We don’t organize trips. We design curriculum-connected learning journeys that build:
HOW WE DELIVER OUTCOMES

LIVING KARNATAKA
Understanding the connections between the Human Body, Environment, Community & Heritage
DAY 01: BENGALURU → UDUPI → MANIPAL → MALPE
From the Human Body to the Living Coast
04:00 AM – Reporting at School
04:30 AM – Departure from School
07:30 AM – Breakfast En Route
02:00 PM – Arrival at Udupi, Lunch & Hotel Check-in
03:30 PM – Manipal Museum of Anatomy & Pathology
“Where the human body becomes a map of structure, function and life.”
Students step into the world of medical science through an encounter with real anatomical specimens and representations of pathological change.
The experience brings the complexity of the human body into a tangible setting—moving beyond diagrams and textbook illustrations to observe how organs, structures and systems are connected.
04:30 PM – Malpe Beach
“Where land meets sea, and every wave reveals a relationship.”
The journey continues from the human body to one of nature's most dynamic systems.
At Malpe, students encounter the meeting point of land, sea, climate and human life. The coastline offers a visible example of constant interaction—waves shape the shore, the shore influences human activity, and coastal communities develop livelihoods around the sea.
06:30 PM – Return to Hotel
08:00 PM – Dinner
10:00 PM – Night Halt at Udupi

From Landscape to Community
07:00–08:00 AM – Breakfast at Hotel
08:30 AM – Check-out & Departure from Udupi
10:30 AM – Pilikula Nisargadhama
“A living landscape where nature, culture and community share the same space.”
Pilikula brings together dimensions of biodiversity, traditional life and cultural heritage.
Rather than viewing nature and culture as separate worlds, the experience presents them as interconnected. The traditional environment of the region reflects how communities have historically responded to their surroundings, used local resources and developed distinctive ways of life.
11:30 AM – Departure towards Manasa Water Park
12:30 PM – Arrival & Lunch @ Manasa Water Park
01:30 PM – Manasa Water Park
“Experience, interaction and shared moments turn a journey into memory.”
The afternoon offers a change of rhythm.
Students enjoy the water-based attractions, rides, wave pool and slides in a supervised setting. After the concentrated experiences of the morning, this provides space for recreation, peer interaction and shared enjoyment.
The original programme retains the supervised recreational component at Manasa Water Park.
05:00 PM – Proceed to Hotel
05:30 PM – Check-in & Fresh-up
06:00 PM – Leisure / Group Time
08:00 PM – Karnataka Dinner
09:00–10:00 PM – Campfire & Group Engagement
“Shared experiences become meaningful when they become shared stories.”
An evening of informal interaction and group engagement brings the day's experiences together before the night halt.
10:00 PM – Night Halt at Mangalore

DAY 03: MANGALORE → HALEBIDU → BENGALURU
From Living Landscapes to Living Heritage
06:30 AM – Wake-up & Fresh-up
07:30–08:30 AM – Breakfast & Check-out
09:00 AM – Departure from Mangalore
01:30 PM – Lunch
03:30 PM – Hoysaleswara Temple, Halebidu
“Where stone becomes sculpture, geometry becomes architecture, and history becomes a story.”
The journey reaches its cultural crescendo at Hoysaleswara Temple.
Here, students encounter an extraordinary visual record carved into stone—architectural symmetry, sculptural detail, mythology, animals, society and representations of everyday life.
The temple demonstrates how multiple forms of knowledge can coexist within one creation. History is embedded in the sculpture. Geometry is embedded in the design. Art carries stories. Architecture expresses ideas.
04:30 PM – Departure towards Bengaluru
07:30 PM – Hearty Snacks & Juice En Route
09:30 PM – Arrival at School
The programme concludes with attendance and safe dispersal.
By the end of the journey, students will be able to:
1. RECOGNISE CONNECTIONS
Identify how systems—biological, environmental, social and cultural—function through relationships rather than in isolation.
2. OBSERVE BEYOND THE OBVIOUS
Use direct observation to interpret real-world environments, specimens, landscapes, cultural spaces and architectural forms.
3. CONNECT CLASSROOM KNOWLEDGE TO REALITY
Relate concepts from science, geography, environmental studies, history, art and mathematics to authentic field experiences.
4. INTERPRET PLACE
Understand how geography, natural resources and environmental conditions influence the development of communities and their cultural practices.
5. READ CULTURE THROUGH EVIDENCE
Interpret food, traditional practices, architecture and sculpture as evidence of the knowledge and values of a society.
6. SEE HERITAGE AS KNOWLEDGE
Recognise monuments not merely as historic structures, but as repositories of artistic, mathematical, technological and cultural knowledge.
7. DEVELOP SYSTEMS THINKING
Move from observing individual elements to understanding the relationships between people, place, environment, knowledge and culture.
8. COMMUNICATE MEANINGFUL OBSERVATIONS
Return from the journey with experiences that can be articulated, discussed and connected to academic contexts.
